Screwtop Wine Bar Bubbles Class

If allowed, I would subsist solely on Champagne. Maybe a little brie and crackers as well. Madame Lily Bollinger, the Champagne Widow said it best:
"I only drink champagne when I'm happy, and when I'm sad. Sometimes I drink it when I'm alone. When I have company, I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I am not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise I never touch it - unless I'm thirsty."
When I discovered my favorite neighborhood wine bar was hosting a Champagne class complete with tasting, I began dropping some serious hints to Mr. Gray. It was two days before my birthday, after all! Thankfully he is an angel and even though he doesn't enjoy alcohol that often, he was a great sport!
Oh to have wine and bubbly classes every weekend! I highly recommend Screwtop for everything. They have a great bar, great outdoor seating (when the weather is nice), great dinner atmosphere, an amazing food menu that is always changing, great wine selection, a fabulous wine club and now I can vouch for their classes! They have a great space in the back for two large tables that are used for parties and family-style dinners whenever classes are not being held. When we arrived, they were set up with glasses, handouts detailing each wine we would be tasting, and bread and cheese to pair. The class itself was great. As someone who almost invents occasions to drink champagne, I realized I knew almost nothing about it! It also didn't hurt that the woman teaching the class has the same classy opinions about bubbly as myself!
